You may or may not have noticed that the Podcast has finally had a couple of new episodes. If you have not had the chance to listen to them, I encourage you to do so. You can find a link to them on the website under Bill’s Bytes. If you have the Spotify or Apple I-Pod App, you can find it by searching for “Beyond Sunday with Sixth and Washington.” If neither of those work out, let me know and I will send a link to you. These first two episodes of the second season are interviews. The first one is with Jacob Holdren and the second one is with Jim Zetterberg. Both were a lot of fun and was truly uplifting. We have a couple others who have volunteered to be interviewed and will hopefully be able to do that within a couple of weeks. Anybody from the congregation is welcome to do it…any of the ladies, teens, couples, even families.
Yet, is understood that it is not everyone’s “cup of tea” to do an interview or something of that nature. Whoever agrees to be interviewed will be sent a copy of the questions in advance so they can form their answers and not feel like they were put on the spot. But if it is something that you are on the fence about, here are the questions that we have used as our template to get the conversation going:

Warm‑Up Questions
- “What’s something about you that most people in the congregation might not know?”
- “What’s a small joy in your life right now?”
- “If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?”
Faith Journey
- “What’s one moment in your walk with Christ that shaped you deeply?”
- “Who played a key role in your spiritual formation?”
- “What Scripture has been especially meaningful in this season, and why?”
Congregational Connection
- “How did you first get connected to our church?”
- “What’s something you appreciate about this congregation?”
- “Who here has encouraged you in a meaningful way?”
- “What’s a memory from church life that still makes you smile?”
Gifts, Passions, and Service
- “What’s a passion or skill that you have that you enjoy using for others?”
- “How has serving alongside others shaped your relationships here?”
Everyday Life & Personality
- “What does a normal week look like for you?”
- “What hobbies or interests bring you joy?”
- “What’s your go‑to comfort meal or favorite local spot in Marietta?”
Wisdom, Encouragement, and Reflection
- “What encouragement would you offer to someone new to the church?”
- “What helps you stay grounded in Christ during busy or difficult seasons?”
Lighthearted Questions
- “If you could instantly master one skill, what would it be?”
Community‑Building Questions
- “What does Christian community mean to you?”
- “How has God used relationships in this church to shape you?”
- “What do you hope someone listening learns about our congregation?”
Of course, these questions are not set in stone! If there was any here that you did not feel comfortable answering. Or, if you wanted to really lean into something else that would be perfectly fine, as well. The point of all of this is to encourage one another and to help reach others with the Gospel by the lives we have been given by the Lord.
Not every episode will be an interview. We also want to have episodes which cover questions and responses. So, once again, if you have any questions you would like to submit for the podcast, please ask them! We will not share the names of those who submit the questions unless you specifically ask us to.
Thank you so much for your assistance with this project!
