At the Sixth & Washington Streets church of Christ, we are committed to Christ and His gospel. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative, all-sufficient, and inerrant word of God. We are committed to the mission of sharing the good news (gospel) that the One whom God had promised has come in the person of Jesus Christ to offer all mankind redemption from the spiritual consequences of sin, that no one is beyond redemption, and that each of us must choose to accept or reject His offer.

The congregation that now meets at Sixth & Washington Streets has been a part of the Marietta community for over a century (founded in 1884), providing a place for those at all stages of the Christian walk. This includes those who have not yet heard the good news, those who are on the journey of growth and maturity, and those who have strayed and need to return to a right relationship with God. Through our comprehensive Bible classes available for all ages, and thoughtful, scriptural sermons, we strive to help our members grow and mature in their faith, understand how to apply that faith to their everyday lives, uplift them during times of trial, and yes, even help them recognize those areas where they need to grow and improve. For each of us, our faith in and service to Christ should impact and influence those around us in a positive way.
